A 44-year-old woman was struck by an apparent stray bullet when two Citi Bike-riding teens opened fire on a street in The Bronx on Sept. 9, according to police and law-enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.

The shooting occurred about 6:40 p.m. at East 188th Street and Webster Avenue in Fordham. The woman was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital by an NYPD cruiser, where she was listed in stable condition.

Officials said there is no indication the victim was targeted and that investigators are pursuing leads as they determine a possible motive.

Surveillance video released by the NYPD late Monday shows the two suspects riding away on Citi Bikes, heading east on East 188th Street after the attack. One was described as wearing a black sweatshirt and gray sweatpants; the other wore a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The suspects are believed to be between 16 and 18 years old.
